Mirror ´loses web users´
Mirror Group Digital was the only publisher in the UK to see a reduction in the number of visitors to its websites in September, it has been reported.
According to figures by ABCe, the group, which owns the Daily Mirror, saw unique web hits drop by 5.65 per cent when compared with August´s figures to just 5.26 million, reports Marketing Week.
Meanwhile the Telegraph saw the number of people visiting its website rise by 115.55 per cent when compared with last year´s figures to 22.9 million.
The Guardian saw its web traffic rise by 44.78 per cent in the same period and has the most web visitors of any national newspaper with 24.2 million.
In related news the Sun has launched a marketing campaign that involves a James Bond Quantum of Solace mp3 player giveaway.
According to head of brands at the Sun Allan MacCaskill, the campaign aims to show the "the huge amount of entertainment" available to readers in the paper.
