Facebook launches new browsing service
In an attempt to pull in more big name advertisers, Facebook has introduced a new service that allows users to browse other websites while remaining logged into their accounts.
The social networking company hopes its new Connect feature will make the website more appealing to online marketers.
Users opting for the Connect service can log into other websites, such as the Discovery Channel, Digg and video sharing website Hulu, using their Facebook username and password.
The system allows friends to view content on third party websites simultaneously and discuss it on Facebook.
Kevin Rose, founder of Digg, said: "Facebook Connect will help us promote more conversations on Digg by giving Facebook´s 100 million users an opportunity to sign-in to Digg with their Facebook accounts."
In related news, a Croatian man who created a Facebook group which criticised the country´s prime minister has been questioned by police, according to the Associated Press.
The group attracted 5,000 people, the news provider states.
